Captain Al is a licensed United States Coast Guard Captain / Merchant Marine Officer and a PADI Dive Master with over 25 years of professional offshore scuba diving experience. In addition, Al has been and continues to be involved in university research work, ecological studies and archaeological shipwreck restoration and mapping projects involving The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

It is not uncommon to see large schools of Atlantic Spade fish numbering well into the hundreds at an oil platform or oil rig.

Ultra Dive Texas is a recreational dive boat charter service operating out of Galveston, Texas or Freeport, Texas. We provide Gulf of Mexico scuba diving day trips that run on Saturdays and/or Sundays. These trips are run by Captain Al Manica who is an experienced U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captain, Merchant Marine Officer and PADI Dive Master with over 25 years of professional offshore experience.
